Much as those who, in living through the events of their lives, do not always perceive their meaning or direction — yet who, on reflection, discern the thread, the purpose, and the certainty that nothing occurs by chance — so too, in looking back upon the successes, the struggles, and the difficult moments of our professional lives, we have come to understand, despite differences in character and experience, what unites us as practitioners.
The union of our names marks both the culmination of our personal and professional reflection and a new departure. Fully aware that, within the legal system, criminal proceedings represent the most penetrating and intrusive instrument with respect to individual rights and liberties, the firm places its full expertise and professional integrity at the disposal of its clients. This awareness has given rise to the firm conviction that, in the complexity of the modern world, criminal law alone is no longer sufficient to guarantee the highest standards of practice.
This led to the establishment of dedicated internal practice groups, organised by area of specialism and staffed by highly qualified professionals, in the following fields:
the branch of criminal law governing offences arising from business activities, including fraudulent and simple bankruptcy, corporate offences, breaches of planning legislation, workplace accidents, and administrative liability under health and safety and fire safety regulations.
the branch of criminal law governing tax-related offences, including fraudulent tax returns, failure to file, improper use of tax credits, and non-payment of taxes.
encompassing offences relating to environmental protection, including unlawful waste disposal, environmental pollution, and administrative infringements under the Consolidated Environmental Code (Testo Unico Ambientale).
covering offences involving the unlawful use of digital technologies, including unauthorised access to computer systems, computer fraud, online fraud, data theft and digital identity theft, defamation and harassment via social media, and cyberbullying.
an area encompassing crimes against the individual, including domestic abuse, assault, stalking, and sexual violence, together with victim support and representation in proceedings arising from domestic or relationship-based offences.
